Thank you for listening, Tim Cook!
Nastaleeq typeface for Urdu is now shining on iOS 9 Beta
Today on June 8 right after the WWDC 2015 keynote speech, I went ahead and downloaded the iOS 9 beta. I was surprised to see the Nastaleeq typeface implementation for Urdu in this superb piece of software.
I felt the rush of joy just like a kid who gets his long awaited gift on his birthday. I don’t have words, or I would say I am kind of speechless that how should I thank you? Some who heard my effort toward bringing Urdu in 21st century through my Urdu Writer app and Nastaleeq Typeface campaign, they kind of didn’t believe in me. I kept faith on myself, and on Apple and I ignored the nay sayers.
I am once again thankful for your kind consideration — and your vision about user experience for the rest of us through the amazing devices that are helping people from all around the world!
I will end this letter on an excerpt from your October 23, 2011 speech that you delivered at Steve Jobs Memorial:
“Steve never followed the herd.”
This is what made Apple, Apple! Thank you from all the Urdu speakers of yesterday, today and tomorrow.
This is for you (Tim Cook), and Sir Jonathan Ive and everyone at Apple Inc:

Knowledge deals with the Attributes, Love is a vision of the Essence;
